Tapping into my D.C. football roots, I serve as a columnist for Hogs Haven, the Washington Redskins community page of SB Nation and Vox Media. The platform is one of the the fastest-growing sports media brands on the web, and features national sports coverage alongside more than 300 community sites. Though it is early on in the season, the Diplomats showed that they have the skills on both sides of the ball to be a true contender in the Centennial Conference this season.
What I didn’t realize at the time was I was seeing an inferiority complex in large scale. This was the first- and certainly not the last- time I found myself with feet in both camps.
